battery light came on. since this is a used car i have had only 6 months i replaced the battery. light still on so i had advance auto check it out. they showed alternator was bad so i put in a new one. now when driving lights go dim, radio comes and goes, temp guage comes and goes and all idiot lights go on and off. I had system checked again and alternater is right on the money and the battery is good and fully charged...... i also changed the ground cable and this did not help.
I also put the old alternator back on to make sure i did not get a bad alternator. what could be causing this?
I resolved this trouble myself.
I put the old ground cable back on. the original ground cable is
grounded to the battery tray and to the block. the new cable was
only grounded to the block.
