Okay here is my question. Are 99-up JDM B20Bs you know the one with the LS type Intake manifold the same as 99-up B20Zs in terms of compression & power wise, becuase some JDM dealers have B20Bs for about $750 and, I found junkyards with B20Zs for about $900-$950. I would rather the most powerful motor stock between the 2 because I plan on building it up NA, but due to lack of $$$ I will be running around with just bolt ons for a while and need some type of power in that time period too.

I think the only difference between the two is the compression and horsepower the B20B has 8.8:1 compression and 126hp while the B20Z has 9.6:1 compression and 146hp...also the B20Z comes with knock sensor B20B doesn't...Im also looking into doing the block swap...I wanted a B20Z but they seem harder to find so Im settling for the B20B but will upgrade sleeves and pistons...
