1G BOV onto 2G

I'm putting a 1G BOV onto my 2G basically because the BOV is leaking like a mofo and now it just cant handle anything over 12psi, which was what it was running stock. I was under the impression that all you need is a new BOV gasket to put in on a 2G. Is that all I need?...any autoparts stores that carry them?

You need an adapter if you want to put it on the stock UICP. I would recommend getting a cheap UICP flanged for 1g, for about $70-80. Dave Brode makes a good quality one for the price, which is what I have.

Re: 1G BOV onto 2G

Definitely do an upgraded pipe while you are in there. The adatpers are 20-30 bucks, the whole damn pipe can be had for less than 100. You will need a K&N or similar open filter though, the stock pipe is squashed for a reason: to clear the bigass stock airbox. A K&N filter, hard UICP, and 1g BOV will make a nice improvement for the money required.
