86 GT..... should i bother?

I have had this 86 celica GT sitting in my driveway for about 5 years since i bought my new car (grand prix gtp). Recently i have been thinking of fixing it up. I am selling the car for $800 but no offers, so i gave up. It has some rust and a new engine i bought with about 30000 clicks. something is wrong with the engine and it is messed, i have not figured out the problem, i think i need a new fuel pump, and one of the cyclinders in siezed (aparently). I have been either thinking or making it a done up little street cruiser, or a rice rocket i can take to the strip. I dont know the specific names for the engines but i think my car has a 2-se engine? anyway i was wondering what mods i should do first I mean im not loaded so I cant go nuts, but tips would help. also i was wondering if it would be hard to put a gts engine in.. or even a Turbo All-Trac engine, AWD swap.

how much are you selling it for now? Honestly, if you're willing topart it out, i would be interested in a few parts for the 89 GT i just bought

i am selling it for $700... the interior is mint...

hmm...that's the price i bought my 89... If the int is mint, i guess it wouldn't make sense selling it in parts unless you parted out the outer and then replaced them woith new parts. Mine is in good condition, just some minor cosmetic problems that i need to go to the junkyard or a weekend to solve. Nothing killer.

Anyways, you're better off trying to find a buyer or selling it in parts that turboing it. if you buy an all trac, you'll save money. A lot of money. but everyone needs a project, so tinker away. :-).
