Side panel popped out of side(help)

You can see how its pooping out, especially at the bottom. The reason for that is this.

Which is the underside of that panel. The bolt hole has rusted on one side and let the bolt slip along. What im wondering is if I can just push it back in and tighten up the bolt if that will hold? Will I have to rig something up to strengthen the rusted side to help hold it?

The whole panel pushes in pretty easily and i'm sure I can push it all the way in to line it up. Just wondering if this would work.

Any advice is greatly appreciated
