Unhappy 95 ford explorer over drive light wont shut off

a mechanic told me that my transmission fluid was dirty and burned but i should not change it because my transmissiom might start slipping because i didnt change it in so long.
i recently went to get an oil change and the mechanic said that i should get an engine flush also whatever that is all i know is right after that i think my transmission started slipping because when i pressed the gas it would not catch to pick up speed.then my over drive light came on and wont go off.
could this be the transmission? and if so how long do you think before it goes completely? and is it possible that when the transmission fluid gets dirty again it might start catching again?

Flushing an engine with high miles can cause oil leaks. However, this has nothing to do with your transmission.
You should change the fluid in you transmission as soon as possible and add a transmission conditioner or rejuvenator product (sold at your locat auto parts store).

Exclamation Help Please!!!!!!

We are having the same slipping problem with our 95 Eddie Baur. We had it hooked up to read the codes which said to replace several sensors, we did and it did not work. We changed the trans. fluid and filter, speed sensor, the main computer (which was a hunch by a ford mech) did not work, bought cleaner for the trans, nothing has worked!!! We have asked 5 diffrent ford mech. and no one seems to no how to fix our problem. We changed the whole front dash componet. My husband is driving me crazy with this vehicle HELP! It slips out of gear when you slow down, almost like you put it in N while driving and if you shift manually to 2nd and then back to D it catches again. Also, this happens everytime we slow down. Our speedometer jumps up and down and as we slow to about 30/40 miles an hour or you let your foot off the gas the speedomotor plunges to zero and the trans slips to N again. \\

PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
