Talking 2001 Taurus Check Engine Light

I have had a check engine light for about the last 3 months. After doing some research, I learned that my EGR valve sensor was the culprit. I had replaced the solenoid and completely cleaned my EGR valve, which seemed to work fine. My only problem was paying $80 for a new sensor at my local parts store. For some reason, I called the local Ford Truck dealer and he stated that my old number was replaced with a new number. That new number is: 4U7Z-9J460-AA. The greatest part of this was that the price now was less than $33.00. I replaced this now much cheaper part in about 2 minutes, I unhooked my battery for about 5 minutes, (which reset my check engine light) and have not seen that pesky light on again since. I had my codes read today, only to find that all codes had been removed and that I was all clear. I was actually so happy to save that kind of $$, that I had to post it here. Now if the same thing fixes my 2001, I will really be happy. (It had the same issues)
