Headlight Conversion

Does anyone know/have a pic of an 88-91 hatch or crx with 92-95 civic headlights? Or any other headlight conversions for an 88-91 hatch/crx?

Re: Headlight Conversion

hey thanx, ive only seen the red rex before, I think I like the 96-98 ones but I figure the 92-95 would be easier. Thanx for the post, and good luck with your conversion.

Re: Headlight Conversion

Thats some pretty decent photoshop work there. It looks like the original was with hatch, and you just overlayed it with the prelude front end and doors. It also looks like both pictures of the hatch and the prelude were taken at the same parking spot.... but just at different times of the day... or unless the lude was a different color and you tried to color match it to the hatch. Did you resize the lude front end to fit? I think the front end would be much longer than it looks in your photoshopped picture. good work though.

Re: Headlight Conversion

the red rex with the 6th gen conversion is pretty nice. Almost looks like it has Del Sol headlights too. That could be money well spent somewhere else though. I could only imagine how much that something like that could cost.

Re: Headlight Conversion

Ah, icic... I was close. I saw the reflection of the telephone wires on the prelude's CF hood and thought it was the same reflection of the tree in the picture with the civic.

If I did that photoshop work... I would have deselected the CF hood before trying to match the prelude front end... so the CF hood keeps its natural look. You could also use the ligting filter to give a directional lighting so the light source on the prelude front end would match.

The conversions posted above aren't just some kit you go buy at pep boys.. You can put about any headlights onto any car but you have to customize (cut/sand/paint) the hood, fenders, bumper, grill, wires, and everything underneath on your own to make them fit.

Re: Headlight Conversion

ok. so that would be a tedious work. how about a simple headlight "replacement" kit. honda jazz have this buldging headlight that really bothers me. it looked like a honda frog. if only that the headlight could have follow the contour of the chassis.
