Help with LCD

Hey I have a 00 Civic Si and I recently purchased a flat screen (touch screen) and I got an awesome deal on an 8.4 inch one. I realize it wouldnt fit in my car but the price was right. Now I have decided that I am going to put it in my cup holder console type thing (behind the stick shift) but its just slightly to small. I went to an audio shop by me (Time and Sound) and they said they could coustom make me one, but I know that just mean they are going to bend me over and rape me for cash and make me a console in the process. Does anyone have any idea of places that can like heat up my console and expand it or a place I can get a coustom one or someone that is really cool on this forums that would like to help me out with this Please Let me know

But hmmm... why dont you try heating it up yourself? Go rent a heat gun and goto town. Just dont turn it on full blast or you could melt it (those guns can get REALLY hot) but a steady warm air should be enough to heat it up enough to stick that sucker in.


And you are right, when the word "custom" comes into play... so does the $$$$$

Dude, don't melt it. You'll screw it up so bad. Minimal fiberglass work is what you need here bro. Goto Walmart and get a fiberglass cloth repair kit, some resin and some bondo all for like $15. Experiment and make your own cool looking one.
