Alot of people tend to say 97 is more affected, but its a very rare case. CW is juss something people overeact alot about. it does happen, but rare.

it affects cars built in late 95 to 99. I looked up a poll somewhere and it seemed the 96-97's had it more. I am not making any statements to the validity of this poll. I have a 95 gsx and I'm considering selling it with only 44k. I just dont want to deal with it if it ever arises, warranty expires this year.

Thrust bearing was changed to a 3 peice design in mid 97, meaning 98 model year. 95-97 should ultimately be the same.

I have read some polls, many taken by mitsubishi and the crankwalk rate for 95's is %10. I think the worst year was the 97, which was an amazing 75% (I don't know if i beleive that.)
Generally crankwalk happens fairly early on in an engines life. Most people say if you havent got it by 60k, you are probably good
