1989 pontiac

i have a 1989 pontiac 6000 with the 2.8 and one of my steel lines for the power steering rotted put its the short one it is not the high and low pressure lines comming from the pump tthese lines come from one side of the rack and pinon to the other side and i have one side out put i am having a hard time getting the other side off i cant get the wrench on it to losen it is there a easy way of getting it off it is so crouded in there thanks

ok i have got the steel hose replaced it wasent easy i had to go in from the wheel well it took me 8 hours to do it cause i only hade 3 inches of room like dame.

Re: 1989 pontiac

Next time you have to change one of these lines you will need a 18mm crows foot line socket and a 36 inch extension 3/8 drive and a ratchet. All of these tools can be gotten from a Snap On Tool dealer. You will find that you can change these lines under an hour then.
