Spec V mods
My friend is looking at a Spec V, partally because of the avilability of Nismo mods (and many other reasons as well) how do these modificartions compair with the mods that you would buy from your average aftermarket company, are they available from the dealership or do you need to order them, do you retain your warranty in it's entirity? are the gains relitively simmilar I know a few people who got their warrantys voided because of minor breathing mods, and that is somthing he dosent want to risk, he also dosent want to run a stock car so it's kinda a lose lose situation, thanks for any insight

Re: Spec V mods
To put it simply, there is nothing that he can do to his car that won't void the warranty in one way or the other, they all void it but in varying degrees. Basically, the dealership has to prove that the aftermarket part caused the problem in question. Like an exhaust, there is almost nothing that an aftermarket exhaust system could possibly do to your car that would make something break, but I guess there's the chance. An intake on the other hand can kill the MAF or hydrolock the engine. And none of the "fun" nismo parts will retain the warranty, the only ones that do are the s-tune parts, which are things like shoulder pads, shift knobs, etc.
