transmission

My transmission is going. Sends slip code 1870 and shifts hard into 2nd, and locks out OD. I figure i got a few months if i baby it.

Just wanted to know if anyone has done there transmission.

4.3 ZR-2, i off road but not to ruff. waiting to get ruff when i get a suspension and tires.

i want to know what you guys think. have a good shop rebuild it, or just get a new one?

1.) Have you changed the fluid and the filter in the tranny?

2.) Are you getting up to temperature? What does your gauge read when you are completely warm.
