Installing Switch?

Hey peopless. Somebody bought me some 'LED' lights [Windshield wiper lights] for my car and im looking to install them but i dont know much about cars etc. He also gave me a switch. I know this is probably very easy thing to install but i cant seem to get it to work when i attach it to the switch. On the switch, theres 3 ends to it. One says 'supply volts' [im guessing that attaches to the + battery]. Another says 'on acc.' and another which says 'earth ground'. Any help on hooking this up for be great. Thanks

Re: Installing Switch?

the 'acc' could be so when you want to spray windshield wiper fluid it works and 'earth ground' is just a ground wire connect it to any metal part and it will complete the circuit and you should get them to light up.

Re: Installing Switch?

don't install them, They're incredibly tacky and a police magnet because they're illegal. Find out where they're from, put them back in the box and return them and buy something useful.

Re: Installing Switch?

hahaha...i agree with drdisque. if you want to be a true "ricer" sure, put them on. respect is another thing though. i usually laugh at people who have them, but then again i'm sure people laugh at me sometimes too...oh well.

as for the switch question...i'm guessing it is a lighted switch (meaning, the switch lights up when it is in the on position). otherwise it probably wouldn't have the ground option. think of it as a loop...the battery to lights. the switch simply cuts that loop until you turn it on, which completes the loop. supply is from your battery, acc is to your positive wire on your lights, and the ground is there for the lighted switch. anything else, let me know.
