it's on my old @home server and i have the file named as 2001 integra because that's how i recieved it from a misinformed friend who just figured thats what it was. and while doing some late night browsing thru old shit i came accross it.. what the hell is it??

I think it looks a lot like the Prelede. Maybe it was a prototype.

Actually, you're friend is not misinformed. That was the original concept for the Japan-only Honda Integra (as the RSX is still called in Japan), as it was shown in Japanese car publications. This was supposed to be the Japanese (or maybe still is...haven't followed up on this) face of our RSX. Just like previous-gen JDM Tegs had a different (and cooler) fascia than our USDM Tegs.

The next-gen car was supposed to replace both the Prelude and the Integra...thus this car incorporates cues from both types...

Uhh.... Is it just me or is that car right AND left hand driven? I am pretty sure two steering wheels are present. I like the looks of it, looks like a really slick Prelude IMO.

Yep, that is indeed the first conception of the RSX and as you all can tell, it was more similar to the Prelude, then Honda decided to redesign it to make it look more like the Integra, thus giving us the current RSX. I remeber seeing that pic on www.vtec.net like a year, year and a half ago.

eww its nasty! like a mix of prelude (good looking cars), rsx (NOT good looking cars), and the new cadillacs (REALLY NOT good looking cars). man none of the new hondas theyre coming out with have any subtlety to them at all!
