2.3 Engine Block Cracked

I have a 95 sunfire gt that my engine block has a crack in it. ive been tring for some time now to find a replacement engine(2.3) with no luck. i know the 2.2 will work but know its not worth the time or effort. Can some one point me in the right direction on what engine can be used without having to do alot of conversions.

Re: 2.3 Engine Block Cracked

Check the following web sites: http://www.car-part.com and http://www.cherry-auto.com. Both sites have the 2.3 available. I found two in Florida from two different wrecking yards for $750 each. Cherry Auto had two but they were more expensive althought they did come with a warranty. These engines are getting very hard to come by. Hope this helps you out.

Re: 2.3 Engine Block Cracked

put in a HO from 89 to 94 and get the real quad power. goes in with only a few minor mods but fits the tranny, the 2.2L does not.
