Ok I was stupid before in thinking my clutch was slipping at 6500 rpms. This is because I never kept pushing the gas to test it until now. I let off the gas the second I felt it stop accelarating.
Well after keeping my foot on the gas I have discovered that it isn't my clutch at all. It feels like a rev limiter that is kicking in at 6500 rpm. It's weird the needle will just keep bouncing against it. Isn't the idle rev limiter at 6500rpms? Why is it kicking in when I'm driving? Help me? I took it to the shop that dynotuned the VAFC and after taking a look they said it has nothing to do with the tuning. They said on the dyno it had no problems and they tuned it to almost 8000 rpm.

Are you doing this while the engine is cold? The ECU will move the rev limiter down to the 6000 range when the engine's still cold.

Re: Rev Limiter kicking in?
i had the same problem.... i just took the car out tonight and pulled hard to 8500 rpms. *drool* - first time since the swap :-P - the ecu will move the revlimit down to 6800 regardless of vafc settings while it is cold.

No I always let the Prelude warm up to regular before shifting above 3500 rpms.
But that information has got me thinking. I currently am experiencing the dreaded boucing idle/cold start bypass malfunction. Sooooo maybe the ecu thinks it's cold even when it's not? Hmmm... I should try it out. Should I just do the temporary fix, or should I just bring it to Honda dealership and have them install a new unit? Thanks guys.
