96 Camry defroster NG

When I turn the air selector switch to defrost (far right position) no air comes out of the defroster vents. Any idea what I should look at first?
Just purchased this used car........
Thanks all!

I had similar problem. I removed the dash (rather simple, 2 screws over above steering wheel, snap piece from under radio, 2 more bolts, and viola--you can see and access more controls). After this, I was able to see that the fresh/recirc. cable had fallen off the switch. I was able to reconnect it using needle-nosed plyers. I then placed a small "wire tie" over it to prevent it from slipping off again. The air for defrost, vent, and other options then worked much better since I could switch from fresh to recirc. Just an idea but it doesn't take long to try. Hope this helps.
