Question 97 monte LS- need an engine

My beloved 97 LS monte blew it's oil pump and ruined the engine. Anybody with a compatible engine please let me know. It had a 6-191 3.1L in it, but can settle with anything compatible. Help me, I've put alot of money in to it, I don't want to get rid of my monte!

if you are looking for a good rebilt motor best thang is to go to autozone or avanced auto or a known place to get the motor cheep and if you are raceing it go big and get the best and if you are looking for an ok one and you wount to do it right go start from the block and work up when you rebild or biy new. do not use the old head if you have not gotten it checked out because you have ran it dry the motor got hot and may have worped the head so best off do it all right dont cut corners

Re: 97 LS- need an engine

I've found ebay to be a good place to find a used engine, if that's what you're looking for. Also, I assume you're from Minnesota from your screen name, if you're from the twin cities area John's Auto Parts salvage yard in Blaine is pretty reasonable
