model hoppers

Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody on this forum knows how to scratch build a hopping lowrider model. I know it's not in the how-to section, and I've done many searchs on the net in general. But I haven't been able to find a damn thing that describes precisely what needs to be done. E.g Where the U-bars/T-sliders go/look like. Or even what the hell they are or do. I would rather try and scratch build one before I go and lash out AUS$50+ on a hoppin hydros kit.
Help would really be appreciated.
Laters, WIDE
