anyone have troubles with the rear wipers? i just got this thing and i am tryin to get it ready for winter and need to either replace switch or the moter ...which one is more likely to go out?...

I would check the switch and fuse first. I've gone through 3-4 motors on my 95 jimmy. The gears inside the motor are all PLASTIC! They were down or break very easily. If you dont want to take the motor apart (very frustrating), then use a meter and test the switch. Take the cover off of the motor and get the the wires that send power to the motor. Then have someone flip the switch for the wiper and see if any voltage is coming from the switch. If there is, then the motor needs replaced. If there is no power, then it could be bad switch, fuse, or wire connection/wire itself.
I've had alot of trouble with my rear wiper. As a matter of fact, I STILL have problems with it! I've pretty much given up. It works when it wants... I just let it be... i'm not gonna waste my time on it again. Hope this helped!
