Thumbs down you might be a muscle head if...

if your big block engine puts out nowhere near 100hp per liter of displacement

if your mullet makes you look like Randy Johnson 10 years ago

if you bring your gutted 69 camaro ss with 15 inch slicks to the track, and get walked on by an 11 second all motor civic hatchback

if you have to stop to get gas twice on the way to the race track

if you have to synchronize your engine and transmission when downshifting

if you have a car sitting in your front yard, with 3 foot high grass growing all around it, inluding through the rusted out floorboard

if you have SLP performance parts stickers on your mustang (SLP is for GMs, but ive seen the sticker on a mustang before lol)

if you have cobra emblems on your 17 second automatic mustang lx

3.8 litre at 450 HP=118.42HP per liter. 3.8 liter at 559 Ft-lbs = 147.11 Ft-lbs per liter. BTW 3.8 liter=231CID= exactly one gallon of diaplacement. I make that power in a milk jug.

There wayyyyy more 69 camaros, than civics in the 11's or faster that are not gutted and don't have 15 inch slicks. Im not saying this because I am being one sided, it is just a fact. Most have 10.5 inch or smaller.

I get 22 MPG with an automatic with a 3300 stall non-lockup torque converter. The LS1's and Lt1's get like 24/26 MPG

synchronizers have been around since the 40's read up on technology boy. Besides I beleve it was vin diesel in the movie who just raced an import car and was making fun of the driver because he did not "double clutch."

Hey, If you build your own stuff, your going to have the left over stock crap. If you take it to someone to do it for you, you spend 5 times the ammount of money it should of taken.

Hello, the F-body is dead. SLP makes mustang parts to stay afloat. They have no official GM relationiship at all. That was an issue last year almost.

What can I say about the last one, you guys have your ricers with neons. We have our wanna be's

The point of this post is not to start a flame war. The point was to show you that for everything you stated up there, their is always an anwser. I love american power. but I respect the import side of it as well. (except rice) Also a great deal of people like me respect it. I have seen some fast ones there. It is people who make threads like this and people on my side who do the same thing and make this whole import domestic thing bad. Please take this into consideration when here on AF. I know it is the internet but, a little Respect goes pretty far here.

Re: you might be a muscle head if...

ok i respect that you drive a grand national, those are pretty damn quick, my friend has one. the only reason i hate stucc like that is because of all the ignorant people who are stuck in the 60s and 70s, who believe that the only way a car will ever go fast is if it has a v8 in it. i used to be into muscle cars and stuff, but what can i say? im a victim of gran turismo lol. i just believe that theres a lot more to cars than which engine is bigger, which carburetor is bigger, etc. and about the 100 hp/liter thing, im talking about cars from the factory, not cars with over twice as much hp than it was stock. oh yeah, and most people dont actually believe in "the fast and the furious", when youre in a quarter mile race you shouldnt double clutch anyway, obviously they make short shifters for one reason...
