air conditioning compressor stays on
hey,
I got an 88 C1500 5.7 350 When I turn on my air conditioning, my compressor stays on and never shuts off until I turn off the A/C. Is this normal? I don't think so. My truck also starts to overheat slowly until I turn off the AC. If my compressor is not switching off and on, what can be causing this? Thanks, matthew |

Do you Have Electric Cooling Fans Or Clutch?
Do you have electric cooling fans on your truck or a fan clutch?

Try This .
Make sure the secondary cooling fan is coming on, when you put the A/C on, it could be a fan problem.
Otherwise a quick temporary fix would be to just Disconnect the Connector on the Compressor, this will stop it from cycling. Mr.Rob |
