96 grand am gt 3.1 v6 fuel system problems?

Car sometimes would not start, after several tries it would start, and run like notheing was wrong. On occasion it would stall while driving. Took to dealer, diagnosed as fuel pump(seemed reasonable, but very pricey). Had a garage install new fuel pump, and it has original problem. mechanic has shecked relay and a wiring harness. Anyone experience similar problem that can give me a clue please?

Did they check to make sure the pump was getting power?, also did they check to see if you had 1/ Spark 2/ Injector Pulse?

Yes pump is getting power, current thinking is that a wire may be loose or disconnected, but I don't know if there are that many wires to check, thanks for the reply, yes it is getting spark and injectors are fine.

can u tell me more about injector pulse, car sat for about a year so anything is poss.

So your sure you have good spark ?

You have installed a noid light and when cranking you have a pulse on 1 or more injectors?

When the Fuel Pressure Guage is installed it reads 0?

Do you hear the pump prime (come on for a second when you put the key on?), and if yes, did you install a new fuel filter when the new pump was installed?

has new fuel filter, can hear it prime. I don't know if mech has istalled niod light and checked for pulse or checked fuel press, I will pass along your suggestions, and welcome anymore you may have. thanks
