'94 Half Shaft Removal

Does anyone know if you have to remove the right (passenger) half shaft in order to remove the left half shaft? Chilton's makes it seem like you do.

No, you don't. You do have to remove the inner cv boot, though. The bearing cage stays in the truck.

half shaft

Thanks, I pulled everything out todayl. Now I finally understand why you don't have to drop the differential and go through all that the Chilton's manual leads you through. I wonder why Chilton's doesn't describe this shortcut?

I have found Chilton manuals to be mostly useless. A majority of the time I end up not even using it.
