I just bought my 325e a few months ago but didn't drive it much, but a couple of days ago I took it out and it started raining and the next day I noticed that the carpet on the drivers side was soaked. I checked the rest of the car including the trunk to see if it came from somewhere but I found that the only wet area was that small area on the drivers side floor. It seems that it may becoming in where the gas pedal meets the floor?? But is there some easy was if I located the hole from the bottom to seal this tightly because it's been a few days now anf the carpet still isn't dry and the car is getting that musty smell.

Re: Flooding!!
Are you sure there's no antifreeze in the 'water' on the floor ???? This is where a leaking heater valve or heater core will 'deposit' coolant.

Re: Flooding!!
Smell perhaps, odd as it sounds, a light taste is best, if it's sweet, it's coolant [ just a dab of a finger tip, not a mouthful! ].

Re: Flooding!!
I think I may of found the problem.. I started to tear back the carpet and found a rotted out rust hole on the firewall right behind the clutch, and the padding covering that was wet but the carpet wasn't? I think that's the problem but why isn't the carpet soaked around there and only at the bottom where my feet rest, I know water runs down hill..?? But I checked underneith the car and the water isn't leaking out so it must be coming from there and just resting in the floor board.
