Stalls out
96 elcipse dohc non turbo
Just did my timing belt according to vfaq, everything went smooth... (Even though nobody in town has the special tools and I had to make them) Also changed waterpump, pulleys, belts, wires, plugs, filters, the whole shabang! The car runs and sounds great, no freaky noises or hesitations, but stalls after about 5 min warmup. It's driveable but I have to keep my foot on the gas at a stop sign. The idle is fine at about 1000rpm and I don't want to mess with it. I've checked everything, wires and hoses, but haven't plugged or did anything to the EGR b/c it was fine before I did the timing belt. I read somewhere that the coolant level might be too low, but the temp needle moves to where it used to in the steady state condition and the car doesn't overheat. Has anyone ever heard of the engine stalling after warmup b/c the coolant level was too low? |

mine too
yeah I had this problem too.
your intake side is the problem, make sure the hoses are tightly fitted and the you tighten the clamps this should do the trick. I'm finding the talon is pretty sensitive. |

Re: Stalls out
Make sure you dont have any vacuum leaks or anything like that.
No your coolant level will not affect your car stalling unless you dont have any coolant in it. lol |
