Crower cam and valve install
Pretty soon i will be installing Crower valves and a Crower cam. Should i take any serious pre-caution before doing this. I will be installing it at in my garage with my dad. Any tips would be appreciated.
I have a d16y7 engine non-vtec. anyone know if they make that application?

Re: Crower cam and valve install
I know they make it for the dohc non/vtec, but I'm not sure about the sohc. Crower is the best for the dohc non/vtec if it matters.

Re: Crower cam and valve install
Crower only produces cams for SOHC VTEC motors. You can send in your stock cams for a regrind though.

Re: Crower cam and valve install
he has a SOHC non-VTEC motor, they only make cams for SOHC VTEC motors. You seem to misread a lot of shit that is posted on here.
I didn't say that they didn't make cams for DOHC motors.

Oh my god. Millions of parts fora honda, but no valve springs for a non-vtec. Great auto industry. So i guess i only have one choice left, go oem with the valve springs

you could have stronger spring retainers...I just posted that so you wouldn't feel to bad about not having any valvetrain parts available for your car

Re: Crower cam and valve install
Motor itself shouldn't cost more than $3-500. Anymore than that and you are getting ripped off cause $500 is on the high side.
