01 maxima se 20th an. ed. vs. 01 eclipse

if my all stock maxima raced a 2001 eclipse who would win? (also my maxima is automatic, eclipse might be a standard).....(i doubt i'd win)

ASLO:
does anyone know if it's expensive to convert my automatic into a standard or tiptronic? and which would be the better choice?

Re: 01 maxima se 20th an. ed. vs. 01 eclipse

provided the trannies are the same (auto vs. auto, manual vs. manual) i'm sure you'd win. but you auto vs. him manual you may get beaten slightly.

converting an auto to triptronic is pointless. the trip tronic leaves such a hesitation between shifts i can't imagine it being any faster than a traditional automatic. a standard swap would be significantly beneficial though in getting more power to the wheels.

you can do a 5spd swap for under 2k IF you do all the work. and yes it is worth it.

The MP checkpoint is not an Imperial Stormtrooper roadblock, so I should not tell them "You don't need to see my identification, these are not the droids you are looking for."

Hey sm1187 never underestimate the power of the Maxima for it is a powerful ally and will serve you well in times of need. You might lose off the line unless you break launch meaning you step on the break and push the gas down at whatever rpms you want to launch at. However once you get going you should beat the 01 Eclipse they only had like 210hp.
