Angry Check Engine codes Help

95 Dodge Neon Sport-AutoZone checked my engine and said i had a code, P0118-ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR HIGH, so I replaced, thermostat, Temp Sensor and flushed and filled coolant, i did the Key method on/off 5 times and came with a code of 34 {Haynes} manual says -OPEN OR SHORTED CONDITION DETECTED IN THE SPEED CONTROL VACUUM OR SOLENOID CIRCUITS. THE LIGHT IS STILL ON. I think the second code is probably more like it, but no info in manual. Anyone know what the 34 code is taking about?

Re: Check Engine codes Help

The speed control system and servo are part of your cruise control system. Check your speed control cables, servo and all vacuum lines going to the servo. It's not uncommon for a vacuum hose to get knocked off the servo and cause this error code.

If it is something more serious tho, the speed control servo may need to be replaced.

Here are some pics of where things are at in your engine bay to help ya out:

^For Automatic Transmission vehicles.

^For Manual Transmission vehicles.

Hope it helps... L8R,
