89 Regal probs

This site looks like a great resource and this is my first post, so hopefully I can get some help.
Two problems:

I have an 89 Regal, 2.8L with 85K.

1) Two days ago, the ABS light started flashing and now the brake lights stay on occasionally after turning off the car. Lights staying on drained the battery dead the other day.
So does this just sound like a short or something easy? What would be the best way to track it down?

2) Car just stalls when it's in the mood. Usually when coming to a stop. Will always start back up, but I have to apply gas a little to keep from stalling again. Occassionally will idle high when coming to a stop as well.
Sound like a ECM going bad?

3) Digital speedo works when it feels like. From what I've read, just replacing it is the best thing to do.

Thank you in advance for any advice you all can provide!!!

Re: 89 Regal probs

(ABS problem): Sounds like a short somewhere.

(idle problem)You may want to pull the diagnostic codes from the ECM first. You may just have a bad sensor. The link below explains how and what the codes mean.

(Digital speedometer problem): Good and accurrate description. Had the same problem. I know repairing it can be done, but will cost you. The down side of replacing this module is that the odometer is part of it and you need to keep the paperwork if and when you sell your car.
