So you don't like the mods, eh? Well here's how you change that

This is being posted for two reasons.
1. I'm tired of moderating you guys. I know B series motors and all that, but I know crap on a cracker about tegs in general.
2. I'm tired of being whined at when I do or don't do anything.

And yes, I said whined. Damn. Here's the deal. I'm not the integra mod... I'm the freaking del Sol mod, and occasionally I help out over at 92-95 civics. Lately I've been having to spend more and more time over here in 4 eye land because people are making stupid, offensive posts, and I'm usually the first to respond, since I'm a nerd and sit in front of a comp all day. As a mod, it's VERY difficult to moderate unfamiliar forums. I don't know you guys... I don't know how much you joke around in here, if it's strictly cars, if you're allowed to post random stuff, yadda yadda. I don't know which ones of you are the class clowns who joke around and stuff. That said, when a post/thread is reported, I don't know who the hell to yell at unless it's blatantly obvious that one person is starting stuff.

SO, that said....

What y'all need to do is think up the top 3 or 4 posters for this forum. The people who know a pretty good bit, and who seem to be the people resolving problems as opposed to starting them. When you have that done, PM me and I'll sticky a poll for a few days, and then let Igor/on of the other admin people know who your choice for mod is. Hell, use this thread to nominate/discuss nominations if you like. Kind of a pain to do, yes, but here's the deal. If you do it, then you have a mod who knows you guys, knows the forum, and can fairly moderate the forum. If you don't, random other mods will continue to drop in and do what we think is right, which may not be what you were wanting us to do. And if you think it's unfair or not right, there's not much you can do. So, get active and start nominating people.

And PS... we don't think we're gods... we just get tired of stupid people.

alright guys we definately do need some of our OWN integra mods. we all know what has been going on lately with LSfrankenstein guy.

i hate to sound conceided but, i would like to nominate myself. i know a great deal about teg's and if i don't know, i know how to find out. everyone knows i'm in here daily. picking fights and starting crap is the last thing i would do. i do try to be fair and balanced and help as much as possible and welcome the newbs.

the other i'd like to nominate is knorwj. he knows his stuff and he has not once done anything to cause a stir.

and one more would be boostedk20. he's in here a bit and when he speaks i listen to pick up on stuff i might not heard of.

Okay mod. I'm using B18ls's account. I'm "Nicodemus" I was in the 96-00 civic forum debateing with another member for about an hour when the screen went blue and said I no longer had permission to be on AF. Nothing ignorant was said on either side of the debate. You can read all the threads. Everything was great, then bam! It happened around 4:00/4:15 on 28-oct. I've PMed sevral mods about it and got nothing. B18ls had the same thing happen to him a while back. ( hence the reason he's a newbie now.) We both use the same computer, I don't know if the matters at all. I know this isn't realy the place for this, but I don't know what else to do.

well personally I nominate you whtteg, that is if you are gonna be around for awhile again, I know you've been busy lately and haven't been around.

My reasoning is that you have been around longer than most of us and have seen jokers come and go, as well as quality members come and go because of jokers.

you also know much more about tegs and cars in general than many of us in this particular forum. I am recalling your helpful advice last year when I had problems with my teg not starting

I also feel that whtteg is very level headed and not prone to misuse power, or flame people etc. And is always able to, if not answer a question at least point the person in the right direction.




PS: thankyou emily for helping us out lately, and for doing this. I always try and help those in need but lately it gets into such a mess with new people giving false or misleading info that it is all but impossible to help the person asking the original question. hopefully a new mod will be able to straighten these people out or at least help them straighten out their info.

i do agree with knorwj on this. if whtteg does plan on staying i do nominate him. i myself have learned quite alot from him. since joinging a year ago he has always been the person that i try to ask for help. his knowledge about not only integra's but automotives is just outstanding.

I would like to thank you guys, you know I learn stuff from other members as well. When ever I see an interesting question that I don't know the answer to I research it because I am learning something new. Then when I find the answer I answer it for them and help them learn it as well. That is why I am such a search nazi sometimes.

Also guys I am going to be on the boards more now, work was just so busy and stressful that I just could not deal with anything else. But now that is past and I will be around again.
