Unhappy 93 Olds 88 with transmission fluid in oil?

I have an 1993 Olds Delta 88 with a weird problem.

I always check my fluid levels weekly, and recently found low transmission fluid...didn't think anything of it at first, just filled it.

When I had to fill it again the next week I started looking for a leak somewhere. No leaks at all to be found, but discovered that my oil was way overfull.

Told my husband about it and he said that someone (probably one of our sons) had put transmission fluid in the oil by mistake. I know I didn't do it and just thought well maybe so.

We had the oil completely drained out and refilled, also refilled the transmission fluid.

A few weeks went by and low and behold losing transmission fluid again and oil appearing overfull on dipstick. No oil or transmission fluid in the radiator.

My husband tells me that he knows of no way the two fluids can mix without going through the coolant. He tells me there is not a modulator valve on my car and the two systems (transmission and engine) are two completely seperate systems.....
so I was wondering if anyone could tell me how this might happen and what kind of problem we should be looking for.

I would appreciate your help.
Thanks

The 4T60E automatic transmission is equipped with a vacuum modulator.

Thanks so much for responding....we finally did find out that there was a vacuum modulator on the tranny....got it changed and it seemed to fix the problem. I appreciate your responses.
