1996 Honda Civic Radio Prob
I recently purchased a 1996 Honda Civic EX. Unfortunately the factory radio was replaced with a after market radio. So this means the keyless entry does not work and the dome light does not work. I recently purchased a used factory radio from ebay. What can I do to install this radio, I need new wiring, and will this even work and can my keyless entry be retored?
Please help, Robert. |

Re: 1996 Honda Civic Radio Prob
What you need to do to keep the dome light and the keyless entry working is that you need to buy a specific wiring harness to connect the aftermarket h/u and the stock radio together because the dome light and the keyless entry is wired in the radio. www.metra-online.com and you'll need to find the wiring harness with a model number of 70-1720T besure it's that exact model number because it will save you headaches. You can buy this harness from www.thezeb.com for around $17.
