Question Underdash Fuse Panel Cover Clips?

I recently got a 1990 Civic EX Sedan and when I went to check the fuses, I noticed that the cover was attached by a screw straight in to the steel plate under the steering column. It appears to be missing 2 clips of some sort to keep the cover up. Where can I pickup these things and what do they look like?

Re: Underdash Fuse Panel Cover Clips?

yikes, but hey you have the same car i do yay

mine came with only the clip for the right side, i just went to the junkyard and got a new fuse cover (its blue instead of my grayish color though) with both clips. Now it doesn't fall on my lap when i hit a bump! So just check out your junkyard, or if it doesn't look too bad, screw in the other side. As long as it doesn't wiggle or fall off, you'll be fine.

You have any plans for your new car?

Re: Underdash Fuse Panel Cover Clips?

Def. check out the yards. And be sure to find one that has tilt too cause they made ones with out the little angled part at the top of the panel so the steering rod can be lowered when tilt is active. My std didn't have that raised part but the crx dash I swapped in did.

Thanks for the info. Your car looks much better than mine!!! I have the ever popular Burgandy color that delightfully spreads into the entire interior!! It makes me feel like i'm in a 70's timewarp!! I actually just got the car from a buddy for $500 bucks cuz my truck burned up and my insurance hadn't paid me yet. I did invest in an a/c vent mount cup holder though. I just got a 2003 Toyota Tundra today so i'm passing on the love to another buddy that needs a car. Thanks again.
