Front axles(CV),Brake EQ block?
Ok, here's a question for you all. I am working on a 94' GC. Found the front DS CV joint bad. Can I purchase the entire axle assembly, or just the joint itself? Heard occasional hard thud that side, so suspect that the joint is beyond cleaning and adding new grease. Also the PS CV joint boot is getting ready to tear, can I just buy the boot? Also were is the coolant sensor? Is that sensor on the coolant bottle? I'm getting a "Coolant Sensor Bad" warning on the display inside the jeep. One other thing, this has ABS, found that the equalizer block to be intermittently leaking out the "front", the red anodized fitting. I supposed that it is NOT supposedto leak from there. Is that a check valve? Can I just replace the fitting, or the entire EQ block.

Its cheaper and easier to buy the axle than to replace the CV joint. I bought both of mine on E- Bay from CV man for 170 including shipping. As for replacing the boot you can get a replacement for about $15 at napa. The Coolant temp. sensor is located in the front of the engine in the Intake manifold on both 4.0 and 5.2.The senor on the coolant bottle is the coolant level sensor. For the leak I cant tell if your asking about the ABS modulator or the combination valve. No they are not supposed to Leak!!

Re: Front axles(CV),Brake EQ block?
The Eq block I'm refering to is right after the MC. the lines go from the MC to the EQ block.
