Will a baby seat fit on the rear JDM seat in a CRX?

Hi folks. I just became a foster parent and now am faced with installing the rear seat section in my 89 CRX DX. Does anyone know if a child seat will fit back there? Need to know ASAP!

not sure, but i know that you shouldn't put people in your back seat of a CRX....have you ever seen a rear end collision on a CRX? not pretty

yea i dont think that would be to good of an idea..I have seen a jdm seat in a crx and they look small..I think putting a baby in that thing would be like putting a baby in a delsol or a mazda miata or something maybe a geo metro lol..plus you gotta think about the glass back there to its alot of glas to be smashing down on a child..I wouldnt ever even take my kid anywhere in my 93 hatch casue how small it was..Good luck with the kid tough..

The JDM back seats are JDM for a reason.... they don't meet safety standards anywhere else in the world. Having had 4 kids raised in a Civic (well... driven around in it anyway), I can say don't do it. It's not worth the value of a human life. BTW - there's little protection from the sun in the back of a CRX.

Thanks for all the thoughts folks. It looks like my boy won't be riding in the back of Rex. He'll just have to wait til he's old enough to sit in a normal seat. In the meantime, we'll restore it together.
