scared some camaros

Ok, so I'll preface this with "I didn't race any"
So I drop my bro off on campus, and pull a U-turn in the midst of way too many cars, buses, and pedestrians, so it was a slow turn. Halfway through I notice that I just got a camaro in front of me...a camaro I have been waiting to race for awhile.

I've seen this guy quite a few times around campus...always parked or cruising when I'm walking. He's got a late 90s z28, full bodykit(which actually looks pretty freakin good), exhaust, the visuals...so I've been waiting to see what he has under the hood. So I cut off a bus and jump in behind him...and follow like a stalker. We go out the backway of campus, through some residential roads...the whole time, I'm cruising high in the rpm band in 2nd or 3rd gear...just waiting for him to jump on it...so I'm right on his bumper the whole time...HE NEVER GOES
He completely chickens out and pulls over so I can pass him...now I know that I just said I was stalking him and on his bumper...but not to the point of scaring him off the road or anything...he had space, and we were doing 25mph. He just wouldn't race...so I was dissapointed and took off.

I pull out on the main road/highway and immediately see an early/mid 80s camaro...looked and sounded stock, so I assumed a 305...pretty easy kill. Well I'm following him...waiting for him to go...finally he switches lane and jumps on it to pass a car. I'm right behind him...and he just gives up...wtf...I'm cursed or something. 2 pansy camaros in a row. So I see an red 2nd gen SL up ahead of me, and I try and catch up to drive side by side, but the redlight ahead had other plans...so my drive home sucked...AND I finally got lifter tick for the first time...which reminded me I need an oil change. There goes another $20 that I don't have...great drive...but this smiley helps...

Re: scared some camaros

thats a bummer dude, it kind of reminds me of one time i was out crusin. I wasnt racing anyone or anything but I was on this old back road, and i was like.. ehh no cops so i stomp on it and there was this old 88 chevy truck up in front of me. and I guess he heard or saw me coming, but he got over into the oncoming side lane , and pull over into this big ditch, i pass, and he gets back on the road. It was rather amusing.. of how people just pull over to let you pass.

Igovert, bro I feel your pain. I cant hang with camaros but I have been dying to spank a prelude I keep seeing round my hood, apparently the dad and son share the car, I always catch the dad and he wont race but some day, I'll put a hurt on that lude!

ohh and I too just got lifter tick like two weeks ago. I have to let it warm up for like 5 minutes then turn it of and back on again. sometimes it goes away, sometimes it dosent!

If you get yours fixxed before me then let me know how much the job costs, money is kinda tight right now, probably will have to roll like this till January.

Re: scared some camaros

Well, I'm just going to do an oil change...that should fix it, if you want to eliminate it permenantly there is a section in the FAQ...essentially you need the 99 lifters, which cost a few hundred, but you could install yourself.
