Stillen, Brembo, HP Racing. SMC (or SCM) was thinking of making a (IIRC) Willwood BABK but never got around to it.

You can't just buy a 300ZX kit and slap it on. You'd need 4x114.3 top hats or change your hubs to a 5 lug system like the 300zx. Otherwise they are pretty close.

BABK's are going to be pretty expensive, over $1K, no matter what. Do NOT go cheap on this!

Or you can have the rotors drilled to match the 4X144.3 bolt pattern and you will probably have to shave the overall diameter of the rotor so the calipers will fit with the stock mounts. Not to mention that you might need new rims in order for the thicker calipers to fit....just my two cents

Talking SMC is what i wanted

BUT THE DISAPPEARED!!! i was talking to the manager ( i think) in december and he was telling me that he's is working on a project to bring nismo to america, so i think he just dropped everyting and left his business to persue something way more important (his dream) so now no more SMC, for now or forever ... But 1,000 is what i was planning to spend, but Brembo is a fuggin whopping 2,400!?!?!? are they nuts??? what am i putting these on a PLANE?? they must be joking!!! i actually was leaning towards the HP racing brake kit, how are they, got any info on them??? Also the ones for the 300zx, what brake kit should if i decide to get those? other than $$$$$$$$$$tillen?

If you get the stock 300zx rotors you can drill them out. With a BABK you'd probably want to just get the proper top hats. The 99+ G's have the same rotor diameter as the 300's so no shaving there. The P10's will need to be shaved. And yes you might need some new wheels to clear the wider calipers.

BABK's are expensive. This is not a place where you want to skimp and cheap out.

If you want a cheaper solution get do a 300zx swap. You can find some 300zx rotors, calipers and some break lines. It's relativly cheap and easy to do. Check out http://www.conecrazy.com/project-g20/

In this months Turbo magazine they do a feature on HP Racings big brake kit for a Sentra. Check it out.

They're definately better than stock but I'd spend the little extra for the Brembo's.

The P11 actually has pretty good brakes stock. If you replace the stock brake lines with stainless steel ones (~$100) and put in some high-temp fluid, you should be OK for a street car. I've run this set up at a brake-heavy track and it's fine even with stock pads.
P10 owners out there should consider a P11 brake swap if they would like a relatively inexpensive upgrade.

so your doing it to look nice, not all for performance.. maybe you should just get some hp racing babk, otherwise, you get what you pay for, brembo is solid quality and performance.. dont whine about price, arent you the one throwing down 5grand for engine work.. be a man, spend good money and get some real brakes..

whatever...

ive always wondered this though.. all these people who spend endless amounts of money on parts and engine mods and shit.. how well do you drive?

one love
babir

sorry.. i got up on the wrong side of the bed.. but still..

Talking BEEN RACING SINCE I WAS A YOUNGSTER

I don't know about whats going on with you and your attitude!!! -I'm not sure about other SO CALLED racers.... but iv'e been racing ever since i learned how to drive, (Well learned to drive when i was 9, but raced about 13) my cousins use to race when i was young so i learned early, drived early, and raced early, and my father worked for mbz so i got to go with him a couple times to racing school, SO I'LL ZOOOMM PAST YOU AT TAKE OFF, AND BOB AND WEAVE YOU GOODBYE!!!
So Be a man and bow down!!! J/P

And about brakes, SO WHAT IF I'M USING 5+ G's on engine mods, doesn't mean i'm made out of money, Sorry man, but i'm not willing to buy some fuggin $2400 front brakes(ONLY)! (Maybe if i was made of money or if it was for the whole set up fnt & rear, but still got school to worry about)

AND IF YOU READ THE WHOLE ARTICLE YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND WHY I SAID I WANT PERFORMANCE AND LOOKS!!! Those 300z Brakes are not all that pretty! especially if you have big rims that show off the brake kit!!

Well, it's better than stock!. If you decide they're not good enough and want to upgrade even more, then you can still keep the SS lines. I have SMC lines on my car. I think you can get similar ones from Goodridge or Stillen.
It's likely (can someone correct me?) that the P11 front brakes are on another Nissan like the S14 or S15. In that case, there should be lots of pretty rotors and calipers available for those cars.

first off the big 300zx tt calipers, arent ugly.. at least i dont think so, ive seen em in red, maybe thats stock color, or maybe someone had painted them, and they say nissan on them=), however i guess the point i was trying to make was, if your not gonna throw down that 2400$ id look into brembo OE rotors and a good pair of pads, although from my experience with other cars, not inclusivewith the g20, after adding slightly bigger cross drilled rotors, the braking only changed slightly, it didnt feel like a hell of a lot firmer, so shit, that money could be putinto other parts or what not, why waste it on some "bling bling" ... i think thats wack.. its all about the utilitarian use too, isnt it? but from what you say i guess thats not your bag.. but its all good.. even if you were kidding.. i wouldnt bow down.. but my friend, i will gladly allow you to kiss the ring.... :smoker2: i hope you got your self a.......

anyways though, good luck with whatever you choose, and if you settle with the hp racing brakes, lemme know how they work out, personally i think they look okay, other than the cheesy red colors ive seen..and as far as brake lines.. i say goodridge with some motul 400 brake fluid
