Unhappy 95 Corsica electrical

A while ago, I noticed that the radio would not turn off anymore.
Then last night, I noticed that the dome light stays on all the time (I temporarily removed the bulb).
Is it possible that a control microprocessor somewhere is going bad?
If so any link to a salvage one would be appreciated.

The dome light problem is probably a short in one of the door switches. The radios got me stumped for a good explanation.

Thanks for the speedy reply. The reason I thought it might be a cpu is that the dome light dims slowly when it goes out it has never just gone off when a door is closed. Also it automatically comes on when the key is removed from the ignition, then stays on for a while then gradually dims.

Ahhh ok, I believe there is a control module for that seperate from the ECM. If you have a haynes manual that should tell you where it is.
About the radio, before it started staying on all the time, if you turned off the car, but didnt get out, did the radio stay on? Im not sure if they ever had it in the Corsicas but alot of newer GM cars the radio will stay on until you open the door. The light and the raido problem might be tied together if that control unit has gone bad somehow.

Re: 95 Corsica electrical

No, the radio always went off if the ignition is turned off. What I mean is that the on-off button on the radio no longer works.
