2003 Ram 1500 Brake Lights
My brake lights have stayed on constantly for 2 days now even without applying the brake. I looked through all the wires and traced it down to a baby blue with white stripe and clipped it. Any ideas where this wire goes or comes from? I have also burned out 4 brake light bulbs in the year and a half ive had the truck. Is anyone else having this same problem?

Re: 2003 Ram 1500 Brake Lights
If you have less than 36K miles, go to the dealer for the 3/36 warranty.
Aside from that, I'd look for a short in the system, and/or at the brake switch at the pedal. |

Yea i got 45K on it, and i checked the switch on the pedal. I narrowed it down to this baby blue wire that runs to the taillights but im not real sure what it's for. Any other ideas maybe?

Did the wire short to a hot wire maybe?

Was there ever a cap or a hitch on the truck requiring wiring to be spliced into original wiring? Does blue wire run to brake light on back of cab?
