stillen makes one. it is $258 list price, which means you can get it for less somewhere else.

Question From what i heard

I heard that all stillen does is get it from another sr20de engine, cause they have the same tranny, like the sentra or ultima? is this true?

ive known a few people who've just cut the shifter down by a few inches and put on an aftermarket gear knob, wouldnt this give the desired effect? afterall, the lateral movement would be reduced? because the length of the shaft is reduced.

Stillen does not use a stock shifter from another application. That is false.

Kevin, a "short throw shifter" isnt the same thing as a stock shifter which is cut down. It is longer on the part beneath the ball of the shifter which results in shorter throws and quicker shifts. Cutting down a stock shifter will just make it harder for you to shift.

cheers brian, i know what you mean, just not many companies do them over here, so people cheat. i presume that by cutting down the shaft, it would also increase the force require to change gear due to less leverage, so its not the best alternative, but people do do it.

Yeah... people do that here too.

But you are correct the extra effort required to shift will make your shifts even slower. The point of a real short shifter aka quick shifter, is to provide quicker shifts.

BTW you can get a good one for about $100 to $150 US... the deals vary throughout the seasons. If you'd like I can help get you one to the UK

Angry An adjustable was the one i found that went out of business, i think?

or at least they dissapeared..... everyone is right p11gt cutting the shifter only makes the throw harder, not recommended, only for show and decreases performance. The adjustable i found was made by a place called smc performance products in santa clarita, but they seemed to have dissapeared into thin air, i cant reach them anymore, their not listed too. but i found a place that makes the short shifter for p11's and it's from B & M , stock number is #45087, it's not adjustable though but it's half the price of $$$tillen. Not sure how much the through is but i know smc's was 2 inch throw, instead of the stock 6 inch, BIIG difference, it also will help in those critical seconds of racing, get you to the next gear allllot faster, that's when you'll know that it makes a big difference. Used to have a gsr, and once i put in that short shifter i fell in love!! but it will take you a while to get used to the driving, what will also make a big difference with that is when you get your racing clutch, another thing for those critical seconds of racing!!!.... :P :P
ACTUALLY, did not check if the B & M was adjustable, but i think it is....well i will find out for you, getting it next week on thursday, tried this thursday (tomarrow, but my distributor said it was too late to get)

Also, Pacesetter

pacesetter used to make short shifters for the g's but only p10, after the p10's they stopped (have no idea why!?!!) but i think you still can get them for the p10's...

If you guys were to suggest a short shifter kit for a p10 which one would it be? Also what would be the best way to get it to New Zealand?
