Yup, RHD and LHD are different. The passenger will have their own dead pedal and a big gaping hole where the pedals should be. Also, the carpet on the driver's side will need to be cut in order to accommadate the pedals.

Re: Type R carpet

Why not just find a place that sells molded red carpet? You'll know it will fit for sure and it will be brand new carpeting and not used.

Go with an Auto Custom Carpet's Red Cutpile carpet. Who cares if it's not JDM. Like the word "type-r carpet" is on here anyways. It's red carpet!! It's nothing special, it's not better. Just get a brand new ACC carpet kit, Cutpile in red, for your car. Sometimes this JDM craze goes to far IMO...like in needing to have a JDM carpet, no one will know anyways, execpt for holes being where they shouldn't be, which is more of a nucence than good IMO. ACC has many other colors you can choose from for carpets also, plus floor mats in those color choices, plus choice of binding colors. The prices listed when you search are MSRP, so if you know an uphostery guy in your area you are good with, you can knock a hell of a lot off the price if he'll sell to you near his wholesale cost. Still, the MSRP prices arn't that outragous if you have to pay them.

The carpet is pointing to the right, with the driver's side in the bottom-right portion of the picture. Note the hole just to the right of the centerline of the carpet.

If you're really fanatic about J.D.M., you can always buy new carpet and cut the holes yourself. But that would be a little

That was my point. No one would know it's JDM other than the holes in the wrong place, which would just be a nucence. It;s much easier to get a good carpet kit Like ACC. We use ACC carpet kits ALL THE TIME @ the uphostery shop I work at. The fit great too, and are easyto install. And to be honest, true wholsale on most uphostery products, like ACC carpets for example, is WAY under the $199 retail they list...try half that price!!! Thats why I said, look for a shop that will cut you a deal when being it.

As I said, this JDM craze is whack IMO. People ar TOO fanatical. As I said above, the only way someone would know that JDm type-r carpet is "JDM" and not a red molded carpet kit like ACC is the holes are on the wrong side, which as I said is a major nucence IMO. Besides, who's to say someone didn't cut the holes on the passenger side of a molded carpet kit to immitate the JDM look...My 2 cents is forgot going "JDM," it's pointless with a carpet especially. Just get a good kit like ACC. I don't give a rats ass if it's USDM, JDM, or Custom as long as it fits my goals.

Re: Type R carpet

I'm a JDM nut too, but I would go with the ACC kit and just get the CTR floor mats over them. Good luck though!

I agree.
Hey ridestreet84, are you sure you want to buy someone else's dirty-ass used carpet? Caveat emptor, bro. You don't know what kind of stains you'll encounter...
