Still having problems

Ok well now for some reason when ever i put the car in Reverse it dies, but when i put it drive it goes but takes a long time to get up to 20 mph. Dont know how the hell this is happening.

Then i am still having the same problem with the gas, it sputters all the way to 3000, but when i get past that it starts to rev fine. I have tried everything to fix it. Could i have a bad WG actu.?

Re: Still having problems

You know, as much as I like these little subforum thingys, I don't think everyone's using them as much. I still see questions on the main forum that could be put into a subforum.

Re: Still having problems

well i checked it out tonite...looked at it more..started it up...it revved fine,,, ran fine other than being very rich....but it was smoking...popped the hood...the smoke was comming from where the o2 sensor goes into the exhuast manifold...so im pretty sure thats just out...

Re: Still having problems

I dont think the WG has anything t do with it. I'm having trouble determiing how many problems you have though. Is the not mving until 20mph thing because the tranny isnt working properly (I assume you have an auto)? Or is it simply because thats when you get to 3000 rpm? How "fine" is it over 3000, perfectly normal?

Re: Still having problems

Ok when im just in park it has trouble reving past 3k(because it sputters), but when it goes past 3k it revs perfect(normal). Then i have a hard time gettign to speed, its like i have mash on the gas let off mash on it agian that way it can get past 3k, but i haven't gone faster than 30mph.Could the trannie be stuck in 4th gear and thats why it is hard to get up to speed and dies whenever i put it into reverse, because the torqure converter is locked up

Re: Still having problems

HArd to say. But since there is a problem even in park, I would say its motor related. Trouble reving is usually a rich symptom. The first thing I would do is connet a logger and see if the trims are maxed out lean. Its possible that things are screwd up in closed loop, but when it switches to open loop it works fine. Really bad o2 sensor could cause that, along with anything else that affects trims. Thats a tough one, and I dont think I could figure it out unless I had the car here.

Re: Still having problems

The mechanic siad everything is good in the motor and it is probaly Electical: including the trannie. Make a road trip to Texas and help me out . Everything is new like the wiring harness from the computer to everything, the ECU, MAS, injectors. Damn this sucks. Ok well i pulled out the Trannie computer and turned it on, but when i put in reverse it still died, That means it is not electrical or what?
