Question need help buying new golf...

hi all... i'm new to this forum ((and the VW community)), and already have read some very informative posts!!

i have a question regarding the purchase price of a new 2004 golf gls tdi 4 dr with auto transmission.

how much ((if any)) can i expect the dealer to be come down off the sticker price?? especially with the end of the year approaching...and the 2005 models arriving???

thanks in advance to any and all responses...

Re: need help buying new golf...

how much is the sticker price (haven't bought a new car in a while... too lazy to check vw site)

get an internet quote from like... 5 different local dealers (or as many as possible). internet quotes are usually cheaper than other types of quotes (ie. internet deals). and if one dealer is cheaper than another, but is too far away or doesn't have the car you want, then the dealer convenient to you may match or beat the other dealer's price.

i bought my car, msrp = 23,000, and i bought it for 19,800 by doing this and some other... tactics...
