brake light bulb ? part II

okay i changed the bulb and its still not working. The brake light bulb is actually a 2n1 bulb where the brake/turn signal are one bulb. The turn signal part works but the brake part does not work.any ideas?

Re: brake light bulb ? part II

Just the one side? If so, I'd have say corroded terminals. Try cleaning the socket and wiggling the bulb. If both sides, I'd think the pedal switch is at fault.

Re: brake light bulb ? part II

You'll have to jury-rig something. Try a popsicle stick or other flat, slender object wrapped with emery cloth or other fine-grit abrasive paper. Blow it out good with compressed air or contact cleaner (or both).

Hope that helps. If not, you probably have a problem upstream. Could be a break in the wire or other connector.
