Body Side Moldings Help

i really wanna pull them off but a bit cautious about it cause i really don't wanna screw up the paint. is it just glue or double sided tape under there? i don't know why chevy uses such ugly moldings. the sierra at least has ones that look half decent.

I took mine off after about 3 years. It's nothing but 3m holding it on. You will have some adhesive on the truck after you remove the molding, but 3m makes some really good adhesive remover. I carried mine to the car washing place, wet it down, and used the remover. Then, when I got the adhesive off, I washed it with soap again, and you couldn't tell it was ever there. Just takes a little elbow grease.
