O2 and random misfire problem NEED HELP!!

I've been having the same problem with my rodeo that apparently several people are having. It started about a month ago (that I know of) but possibly has been going on longer.
STORY: My fuel gauge went haywire for a while (as did everyone else's I hear) so my CEL being on was a regular occurance to me. One day it started flashing but only when I pressed on the gas pedal. It stopped flashing after a few minutes so I figured it was related to the sending meter. Well,...my starter went out, so I took it to the local dealership and they replaced my starter for a whopping $335 but replaced the fuel gauge with a new pump via warranty. I thought that was the end of my problems. I was WRONG. About a day later, my CEL came on and it was idling very rough upon the first start in the morning and even tried to go dead. After I let it idle for a minute I took off to the dealer again and of course the CEL was flashing and you could tell it had some diminished power. The mechanic coded it and got an 0300 random misfire and 1133 and 1153 HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 AND Bank 2 Sensor 2 slow responses. The code mentioned that they had shifted to lean. Why is this?
I didn't have the time or tools to work on it myself so I had them clean all the lines including the EGR, check the Intake mani gasket, change the fuel filter and basically check the entire fuel system. I even tried swapping my MAF sensor but no luck. It's still doing it and the mechanic (who is supposed to be their top dog) says my problem is likely in the engine wiring harness (He says this as he's scratching his head in uncertainty). For some reason I don't buy this theory. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I would rather not spend $700 to have that harness replaced or even have them spend numerous hours rooting around in my harness trying to find a problem. SUGGESTIONS???
Thanks,
Mike

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention I've been hearing a random "tick" coming from under my vehicle. I can't pinpoint it, but it's sounds like it's directly under the center console and passenger foot area is.

get a second opinion on the intake gsket it is a very common problem I have never seen random misfire codes and o2 codes and it not be the intake gaskets. But any thing is possible I have had a few with more than one o2 dump out at the same time and check the spark plugs it just does not work well with anything other than the nippendensos

thanks.
I definitely think I need a second opinion. we did check the plugs. they are the nickel plugs so they were good. they mechanic says he checked the gasket, but I may have to get someone else to look at it. Thanks for the reply.

Re: O2 and random misfire problem NEED HELP!!

loss of power....random miss fire.....my guess would be your catalytic converter...but may not be the only problem. o2 sensor probably shifted to lean b/c either your ignition system is not completely burning the fuel or your injectors may be leaking causing excessive fuel to get into the cat converter. if too much fuel gets into the cat it can clogged it up and eventually pop. if it is your cat.....it'll cost a pretty penny to have replaced.
