Hissing noise from under dashboard

I'm new here. Have a hissing noise coming from underneath dash on driver's side. I can't see any fluid, steam or smoke coming from anywhere. Hissing continues even after engine turned off.

I would appreciate anyone's comments.

Re: Hissing noise from under dashboard

Typical Isuzu problem.Check for large python or boa constrictor under the dash. If you are still under warranty it shoud be removed for free by dealer . If not start poking under the dash with a short stick and see what turns up.

LOL, good one.

I'd use a very long stick though, it could be a rattlesnake.

Seriously, I've never heard of that problem, sorry.

the only thing that comes to mind is maybe your seals that go around the fresh air vents might be leaking? i know it's a long shot but when I close my fresh air vents, I get, not a hissing noise, it actually sounds like a toy cow...so maybe the snake idea isn't that far off

Red face Re: Hissing noise from under dashboard

My dashboard of my 01 ram van conversion
Isn't hissing but I really do have a 7 ft boa in
There!
He is inside the container the ac or heat blows
Into the two middle vents and to the left of the
Passenger airbag. I can reach up thru the glove
Box and feel him. Unlike most snakes, he seems
To prefer cold so I tried turning on the heat in hopes
He will turn around and find the way he got in.
My bumper sticker reads "I love my BOA", but at
The moment, not so much!!!

Re: Hissing noise from under dashboard

Could be a vaccuum leak at a/c-heater control or a vac hose cut or loose.
