Talking 1972

I just recieved a 1972 ss nova it is equiped with a corvette 427 with 1500 miles 4 bolt big block bored 30 over with a double pumping holy 700,electric fan 7quart oil pan the color is porchse red. I would like to here a few things about what you think of this car.

Excellent body style (I like the 68-74), excellent engine. Question, is it a L88 motor?

sounds like a nice set-up. The engine could possibly be worth a decent amount to a collector or someone looking to restore a corvette. If it has the stock intake and the #s match on the block and heads, you might be able to sell it and build yourself a 454 with more power for the same $$.

L-88 has aluminum heads (I think) and mine are metal. I was told that the berings have 69 vette stamped on them

10 smacks, I did it as a favor for my father in law he just retired and was wanting to buy is wife a new car. It sat for 3 years covered in the garage. he still has a 76 firebird bought new in 76 with 28k

holds the hood up, just a good place to store it.

I have the hood springs but I think it may buckle the fiberglass cowll hood. Im looking for something to install like the hydralic hood springs you see in newer cars.
